Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or have equivalent education for licensing.
  • Have two years of registered nurse experience with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Hold Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Hold the applicable Registered Nurse license for the state of work location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin, including a compact-state Registered Nurse license where applicable.
  • Be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 0–25 pounds.
  • Be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements.
  • Have sufficient vision and depth perception for near and far distances and be able to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Have sufficient hearing and speech for oral communication, including hearing alarms and malfunctioning machinery.
  • Have frequent keyboard and data-entry capability.
  • Be able to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and grip.
  • Be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 25–50 pounds.
  • Be able to rarely climb.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily operations with the leadership team to ensure implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care for assigned ministries.
  • Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during the assigned shift.
  • Contribute to staff performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a resource to staff.
  • Manage patient flow within the assigned area.
  • Provide support and coordination for patient emergencies.
  • Open and lead incident command for internal or external disasters until relieved by the assigned administrative representative.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired patient outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage them through established channels.
  • Provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
