Requirements
  • A Grado or Máster degree in Industrial Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Civil Engineering (Caminos, Canales y Puertos), with experience in machinery and associated processes within a construction company.
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with machinery, processes, and related activities, particularly tunnels.
  • Knowledge of managing all areas of a construction project.
  • Leadership and communication skills, with experience managing project teams.
  • Customer orientation.
  • Fluent English is essential.
  • Competent use of operational software including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, computer-aided design programs such as AutoCAD and Revit, and specific cost-control and management programs.
  • Knowledge of task programming and scheduling.
Responsibilities
  • Control project planning, machinery, personnel, and processes for projects in which the Machinery Department participates, at technical and financial levels, while coordinating with the Machinery Department and worksites as applicable.
  • Supervise, manage, and direct machinery and personnel teams, including company employees and subcontractors, and oversee tunnel execution processes.
  • Develop technical and financial reports and studies required by Projects, Contracting, and company departments.
  • Comply with company quality and environmental standards related to tunnel machinery, equipment, personnel, and processes.
  • Monitor investments and personnel hiring for the Tunnel Area.
  • Prepare documentation associated with the assembly, development, and execution of activities, including drawings or engineering when necessary.
  • Prepare the project budget (MASTER, APO, PAS), monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and mitigation measures when applicable.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being and maintain a safety-first attitude throughout the project.
  • Ensure compliance with company and project requirements, quality, environmental, and energy-efficiency standards, and procedures supporting continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Project and/or Machinery Department leaders to identify value-engineering and process opportunities that provide cost or schedule savings.
