YOUR TEAM
At Nuna, we’re building a data platform and a suite of UI applications used by payers and healthcare providers to improve patient care and reduce costs. We have open engineering manager opportunities for both frontend and backend leaders. After the first successful engineering manager skills interview, we’ll discuss specific teams more in-depth.
YOUR IMPACT
You will be responsible for the people and technology within your area. Nuna is in the process of evolving our data platform and applications to support the next phase of the company’s growth. You’ll guide your team through the evolution of technology and development practices to support our new platform. You will help the team rally around the future vision, coordinate the execution toward it, and drive new and improved processes in order to scale the business at Nuna.
YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
- Lead a team of builders to accelerate the growth of Nuna through the creation of next generation data platform tooling and applications
- Lead the charge in continued growth in operational excellence and maturity
- Lead the implementation of processes for optimal SDLC of data pipelines to help ensure stability, repeatability, and quality
- Work closely with engineers and peers to understand progress, drive execution, understand needs, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
- Take ownership for a piece of Nuna’s overall engineering processes and drive excellence across all of engineering
YOU BRING
- Technical Leadership and Interpersonal skills to motivate engineers and cross functional teams in a startup environment
- 3+ years of experience as a people manager
- Excellent communication and listening skills, you break down problems and generate shared understanding across technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong technical skills in either platform or application development
- Prior experience as senior technical contributor - staff eng / architect / tech lead

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $180,000 to $240,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
