Requirements
  • 10+ years of HR work experience, including prior experience managing a global compensation program. Experience at a late stage start-up preferred
  • Significant compensation knowledge: demonstrated understanding of global compensation principles, global regulations and market trends
  • Analytical prowess: the ability to quickly analyze complex problems and draw conclusions from data
  • Excellent communication skills: a demonstrated track record of building internal relationships quickly and driving cross-functional work streams successfully
  • Professionalism: the ability to recognize confidential, sensitive and/or proprietary information and maintain confidentiality
  • Start-up mentality: an inquisitive, agile, and challenge-focused mind coupled with comfort navigating ambiguous and/or uncertain environments. Enjoyment building and thinking multiple steps ahead
  • Team leadership: track record of leading high performing, multi-disciplinary teams and building, mentoring and performance-managing talent
  • Strong attention to detail: an ability to hone in on the smallest details
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
Responsibilities
  • Managing compensation, benefits, recognition, and equity programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness
  • Overseeing the administration and evolution of Zipline’s compensation structures, including salary structures, variable pay, bonus plans, equity awards and other incentives
  • Building trusted working relationships internally with leadership, Finance, Legal, People, and team leads
  • Remaining up-to-date with compensation industry market conditions and trends; designing tailored strategies to ensure Zipline is able to attract and retain top talent across various segments
  • Regularly assessing benefits offered to employees for their effectiveness; making recommendations to vary offerings based on current best practices, cost, and utility of benefits to employees
  • Developing communication strategies to educate both new and existing employees about their compensation
  • Partnering with Legal to ensure that compensation practices are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Hiring high performing individuals as needed
  • Embodying servant leadership, doing everything necessary to enable team members and cross-functional partners to succeed
