Requirements
  • Current and valid state-approved Registered Nurse license.
  • At least 3 years of experience delivering quality care in a primary care or other preventive care environment, including at least 1 year of charge nurse, nursing supervisor, or other team leadership experience.
  • Experience in geriatric nursing or gerontology, including education in the aging process, memory decline, and related behavior management is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in current safety and infection control practices.
  • Experience building and leading effective nursing teams, including hiring, training, and development.
  • Organizational and administrative skills using Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications, including electronic medical records.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Must meet all health requirements, including acceptable TB screening results and state criminal background-check requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct leadership for the nursing team managing nursing care for fragile assisted living and memory care residents.
  • Create care plans, oversee clinical charting, and work directly with families and physicians.
  • Provide community leadership and support and coach employees in the appropriate care of assisted living and memory care residents.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Marketing Director, Care Director, Vice President of Nursing and Care, Regional Nursing Leaders, and Vice Presidents of Operations to align care expectations.
