Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming content deliveries from studios and providers.
  • Ensure all content package elements are present and work with providers to obtain missing elements.
  • Obtain metadata files and artwork from studio affiliate sites when needed, resize artwork, and enter metadata into packagers.
  • Set up, operate, and test a wide variety of video, audio, and metadata applications running on hardware and software.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and provide quality control operations for content and metadata.
  • Identify, prioritize, resolve, document, and communicate technical and operational issues.
  • Use specialized content monitoring tools to evaluate and diagnose problems involving video, audio, and technical composition.
  • Provide thorough, detailed, clear, and concise written documentation.
  • Perform visual quality assurance of transcoded files before publication.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with content providers and provide timely solutions to inquiries.
  • Interface with the video-on-demand traffic team and other internal customer teams to track content propagation status and provide feedback to providers.
  • Track content license start dates and ensure they are met.
  • Package content for regional and nationwide subscription, transactional, advertising, and sports programmers.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled staff meetings by sharing project information, errors, solutions, accomplishments, and near-term goals.
  • Adhere to existing content operations procedures.
  • Provide input to customer reports.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of CableLabs video-on-demand standards.
  • Exposure to video ingest and publishing systems.
  • Experience as a content programmer.
  • Five or more years of experience in content management; industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work efforts, and deliver results on schedule.
