Senior Programmable Logic Controller Specialist

Amentum is now hiring for a Senior Programmable Logic Controller Specialist in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and resolve issues with automated device hardware and software.
• Rectify faulty parts on hardware.
• Run test equipment to diagnose issues with automated devices.
• Research potential upgrades to ensure benefits outweigh any potential costs.
• Ensure preventative maintenance is regularly executed.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors to get the best value for upgrades.
• Tune devices to ensure they operate optimally.
• Document work done on devices to ensure other technicians know what has been done.
• Ensure all cleanliness and safety standards are kept. required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have an Associate’s Degree.
• Must have 9 years of experience. 
• Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting C5ISR DEVCOM programs.
