Requirements
  • A bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 5 years of in-depth troubleshooting experience with USB, Human Interface Device (HID) PTZ cameras, Unified Communications & Collaboration systems protocols, USB audiovisual automation, and audiovisual-related artificial intelligence.
  • At least 3 years of in-depth troubleshooting experience with Q-SYS or similar Linux-based audiovisual systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Atlassian collaborative tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • The ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with other parts of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience supporting Unified Communications & Collaboration systems, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • A strong understanding of, and experience in, audiovisual systems design, technical support, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced support for Q-SYS clients and systems, responding efficiently and effectively to incidents and service requests.
  • Identify and resolve critical problems, prevent recurrence through root-cause analysis and automation, and differentiate hardware issues from software issues.
  • Report ongoing software bugs from field and test environments using collaborative software reporting tools such as Jira.
  • Communicate technical support and customer requirements effectively to software developers and hardware quality teams to help prioritize valuable changes.
  • Provide project status updates to management, internal stakeholders such as sales, and customers; communicate progress and make modifications as needed.
  • Ensure all issues and tickets are properly addressed and records are maintained in Q-SYS's Salesforce customer relationship management system, Jira bug reports, and the Helpjuice knowledge base.
  • Provide on-site support to clients and end users, troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.
  • Ensure client systems are updated and optimized to meet the operational requirements outlined in the scope of work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), CTS-Design (CTS-D), or a similar AVIXA technical certification.
