Requirements
  • The candidate must have 5–8+ years of experience across product, engineering, AI workflows, founder office, or Chief of Staff roles.
  • The candidate must be a daily AI power user with hands-on experience using Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, or equivalent tools.
  • The candidate must have technical fluency with application programming interfaces, scripting, large language model tools, agent frameworks, integrations, and internal automation.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong cross-functional execution across technical and non-technical teams.
  • The candidate must be able to turn vague problems into working prototypes and real adoption.
  • The candidate must exercise product judgment when deciding whether to use a prompt, bot, script, standard operating procedure, workflow, dashboard, or no tool.
  • The candidate must demonstrate sound judgment with sensitive company context, ambiguity, and fast-moving priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Build RoboForce's internal AI-native operating system, including agents, automations, workflows, templates, and internal tools, from prototype to production.
  • Identify opportunities where artificial intelligence can create three-times leverage across the company, prototype quickly, measure impact, scale what works, and discontinue what does not.

  • Lead the cross-functional AI Champion network to capture, spread, and operationalize AI-native practices across teams.
  • Define company-wide standards for tools, cost, security, model routing, context management, and human approval thresholds.
  • Partner with engineering and information technology on connectors, permissions, local model hosting, monitoring, and secure deployment.
  • Turn ambiguous AI-native priorities into clear systems, owners, workflows, and execution rhythms.
  • Work in the office five days per week to enable high-bandwidth collaboration, rapid iteration, and direct access to teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, agent frameworks, large language model routing, or local model hosting.
  • Experience as an ex-founder or in a direct founder-office role at a high-growth startup.
  • Experience building a function, system, or operating cadence from zero.
  • A background in artificial intelligence, robotics, hardware, deep technology, or technically complex domains.

Embedding VC is an early-stage venture fund that backs Generative AI startups. It provides seed to early-stage capital and operational guidance, leveraging a team of current and former builders and operators who can help portfolio companies grow. The fund’s approach centers on working closely with founders and using hands-on experience to scale AI projects, including those aiming toward AGI, during a period described as a new computing super cycle driven by AI innovations. Unlike funds that rely mainly on financial leverage, Embedding VC differentiates itself through its deep operator network, practical support, and focus on and commitment to building capable, scalable AI businesses. The overall goal is to support ambitious AI founders to advance the development and deployment of AI technologies and capture value in the expanding AI ecosystem.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • March 2026 delivered Eos Cyber's combination with AppViewX, a real liquidity event.
  • February 2026 Shiplight AI launched MCP, cutting manual UI testing and widening distribution.
  • April 2026 portfolio names Moonlake AI and Supermemory entered Bessemer's AI infrastructure landscape.

What critics are saying

  • Embedding VC depends on frothy generative-AI exits; a downturn crushes markups and fundraising.
  • If OpenAI, a16z, and YC monopolize AI talent, Embedding VC becomes irrelevant.
  • One flagship exit, AppViewX, cannot prove enduring venture performance; a weak 2026 would sting.

What makes Embedding VC unique

  • Roger Jie Luo runs Embedding VC as an AI-native fund with startup-building services.
  • January 16, 2026 Founder-in-Residence program embeds builders before company formation.
  • March 2026 newsletters showcase portfolio support, including Bessemer placement and AppViewX integration.
