Requirements
  • Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist.
  • A Master's of Science in Nursing.
  • A current New York State Registered Nurse license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Administer, monitor, and manage patient care before, during, and after anesthesia.
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, induction and maintenance of anesthesia, and emergence from anesthesia under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist.
  • Provide patient-centered anesthesia care and monitor patient recovery.
  • Deliver anesthesia services for lumbar spine surgeries and obstetric procedures using nitrous oxide, regional analgesia, and intravenous analgesia.
