Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field
  • Experience and training related to transmission/gathering pipeline operations
  • Experience and training related to compressor/pump stations
  • Experience and training related to gas measurement and regulation activities
  • Experience and training related to processing and/or storage operations
  • Experience and training related to company/governmental operating and safety procedures
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software (Synergi Gas, SPS, Fathom, etc.) preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of pumps, compressor stations, and/or storage facilities preferred
  • Experience identifying, researching, understanding, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems and coordinating appropriate action/response
  • Typically attained with four or more years of experience in engineering, operations and/or project management
Responsibilities
  • Perform steady-state and/or transient hydraulic modeling for existing assets and potential expansion projects
  • Analyze transmission and/or gathering pipelines, compressor and pump stations, dehydration plants and hydrocarbon storage facilities
  • Make recommendations for improvements related to capacity, operating costs, and system operation
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hydraulic system issues, providing technical support to Field Operations and Pipeline Control teams as needed
  • Support Commercial and Business Development teams to determine scope of the expansion projects
  • Provide technical and/or engineering assistance on matters including but not limited to equipment/system design, pipeline sizing and evaluation, pipeline control, pipeline facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance, policies and procedures, and Process Safety
  • Perform project management activities including but not limited to Management of Change (MOC), material/equipment specifications and selection, construction plans and support, creating and updating schedules/timelines, and preparing project progress and other reports
  • Research, analyze, prepare and/or approve information including but not limited to engineering studies, governmental rules, regulations, codes and standards, pipeline and/or measurement system analyses and recommendations, hydrocarbon processing and/or measurement bid proposals, construction and/or measurement contracts, cost estimates, and material specifications/selections
  • Analyze and/or provide support for various assets and make recommendations for improvements related to capacity, operating costs, and system operation
  • Evaluate various system designs and make recommendations for improvements related to station capacity and operating costs, to increase accuracy of measurement system and downstream reporting systems
  • Perform and/or provide support for economic analysis related to potential new projects, including but not limited to operational estimates, determining equipment efficiencies, and needed enhancements and conducting definitive studies for potential acquisitions
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and assist with implementation of new processes
