Position Description:

The Department of Anthropology is seeking a qualified candidate to teach an undergraduate course for Fall 2025, offered as distance education. Specifically, we are seeking a candidate who is qualified to teach requisite courses in archaeology (e.g., Archaeology of Human History). All positions are for one semester in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal as departmental needs require. Preference will be given to those holding at least an MA/MS or PhD in Anthropology at time of appointment.

Instructors are expected to utilize Blackboard to submit course syllabus, order textbooks or other reading materials, provide developmentally meaningful feedback, present engaging learning experiences, respond to students in a timely manner, communicate regularly with designated academic program director, submit final grades within university deadlines, and comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer such as completing an attestation disclosure form, along with completing annual evaluations.
