Requirements
  • BT IV certification or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Broadband Technician III or equivalent field network experience.
  • Ability to splice coaxial and fiber optic cable.
  • Proficiency with signal meters, spectrum analyzers, optical time-domain reflectometers, volt-ohm meters, and leak detectors.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid fiber-coax and Internet Protocol networks.
  • Experience reading and interpreting system maps and schematics.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather, on ladders, in confined spaces, and during on-call rotations.
  • Ability to work at heights on poles or ladders up to 32 feet.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry tools and ladders across various terrain.
  • Availability for occasional night and weekend work during outages or maintenance windows.
  • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and near power lines as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of the hybrid fiber-coax network, including radio frequency, alternating current, direct current, and optical systems.
  • Optimize network performance through node balancing, alignment, and signal calibration.
  • Monitor and mitigate signal leakage and ensure compliance with Federal Communications Commission and local regulations.
  • Maintain documentation and perform scheduled maintenance on standby power supplies.
  • Lead or mentor Broadband Technicians I–III on field best practices and customer service.
  • Support outage restoration efforts through clear communication with teams and dispatch.
  • Maintain and safely operate a company vehicle and equipment.
  • Record and submit job logs and documentation using mobile devices or work order systems.

Vyve Broadband announces new co-presidents. April 21, 2026 Vyve Broadband has announced the appointment of Melanie Hannasch, chief operating officer, and Guy McCormick, SVP of engineering, as co-presidents of the company, effective immediately.
