Requirements
  • You hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You bring 1+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports
  • You bring 2+ years of experience working with children/teens/adults in the delivery of ABA services
  • You currently hold a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) credential or can obtain a BCAT credential within 90 days of employment
  • You can obtain safety training certification within 90 days of employment
  • You possess and can maintain reliable and insured transportation (vehicle) and travel between 30-45 minutes per drive to provide therapy in client’s home, school, clinic or community locations.
  • You are first aid/CPR certified, or can become so
  • You have or can acquire a Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative supervision of behavior technicians (BTs) in the areas of performance management, non-clinical administration, clinical accountability, leave of absence and workplace accommodations support, workers’ compensation case support, separation of employment, and time and schedule management.
  • Establish working relationship with all direct reports throughout the teammate lifecycle from orientation through employment separation.
  • Complete daily administration of BT time off management, BT callout management in conjunction with scheduling department, approval of additional indirect time, approval and review of BT serious incident reports (SIRs), and BT availability changes.
  • Complete and/or assist with audits for administrative or indirect time (weekly), meal and rest break penalties – California only (per pay period), unconverted sessions (weekly). Report findings to ABA site manager and work with BTs to rectify any discrepancies.
  • Ensure BTs have completed all compliance requirements including required clinical training through collaboration with the site’s lead behavior technician trainers (LBTs). Responsible for ensuring that all BTs meet compliance standards.
  • Responsible for the performance management of behavior technicians by providing and documenting timely feedback, including synthesizing clinical feedback through collaboration with the site’s LBT and Clinical Excellence Supervisor (CES). Work in collaboration with the ABA site manager/ABA associate site manager as appropriate.
  • Effectively manage and navigate electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office products to ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Execute all responsibilities and skills associated with the Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification. Required to be obtained with 90 days of hire.
  • Provide direct implementation of holistic, neurodiversity-affirming behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Implement Cortica’s Whole Child Approach according to treatment plans and strategies provided and overseen by the assigned Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Utilize a strengths-based treatment approach developed in collaboration with the BCBA and the transdisciplinary team.
  • Provide client self-care skill development in collaboration with caregivers including toilet training, personal hygiene, and dressing.
  • Deliver behavior-analytic care in various settings including home, community, school, clinic or other designated setting as determined in the child’s assessment and treatment plan.
  • Required to travel within the designated region as assigned by clinic location.
  • Complete all documentation requirements including data collection and sessions notes during the session.
  • Assist with individualized assessment procedures through preference assessments and data collection.
  • Follow Cortica crisis and emergency procedures, including safety and de-escalation strategies, first aid strategies, and mandated reporting.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality in alignment with Cortica policies in all scheduled sessions, meetings, and/or administrative sessions, as assigned.
  • Adapt to various situations and remain calm in unpredictable or stressful situations.

CorticaCare provides medical and therapeutic services for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences, including in-person medical care, in-home ABA, speech and occupational therapies, music therapy, and telemedicine diagnoses in California and Massachusetts. Clinicians work in a collaborative, team-based model where physicians and therapists design personalized plans and use evidence-based therapies. Progress is measured with Vineland-3 assessments to show gains in communication, social skills, and daily living. The goal is to improve children’s communication, social interaction, and independence while helping families access services through insurance navigation and scheduling support.
