GoHealth Urgent Care builds a network of urgent care centers through joint venture partnerships with established health systems to provide on-demand, walk-in medical care. It combines physical clinics with a digital front door, offering omnichannel access via virtual visits, online check-in, and real-time wait times, along with on-site services such as X-rays, labs, vaccinations, and physicals. The platform uses data analytics and AI to optimize location strategy and operations while delivering a seamless patient journey akin to ordering a ride. What sets GoHealth apart is its integration with health system partners, leveraging their clinical expertise and community presence to extend reach, improve access, and reduce costs. Its goal is to lower costs, enhance access to quality care, and improve patient experience by acting as the accessible entry point to the broader healthcare ecosystem for the communities it serves.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Community-GoHealth doubled from six to twelve centers between October 2025 and May 2026.
  • GoHealth said in June 2026 it reached nearly 400 centers nationwide.
  • More than half of Americans now sit within reach of GoHealth's virtual and physical network.

What critics are saying

  • Legacy-GoHealth closed four Washington and two Oregon clinics on November 15, 2025.
  • GoHealth depends on health-system partners; one terminated contract can erase a market overnight.
  • Regional health systems like UPMC can internalize urgent care, leaving GoHealth as a replaceable vendor.

What makes GoHealth Urgent Care unique

  • GoHealth operates nearly 400 co-branded centers across 16 states with 12 health-system partners.
  • Its joint-venture model gives hospitals a digital front door without building urgent care alone.
  • UPMC-GoHealth launched 81 locations in July 2025, proving repeatable partnership integration.
