TrackOFF provides software that helps individuals protect their online privacy by blocking tracking attempts and masking digital fingerprints as they browse the web. The product integrates with popular web browsers to monitor and prevent data collection from third parties, cookies, and other tracking methods, while offering features like a privacy score, one-click data clearing, and detailed reports on tracking events. It is designed to work alongside antivirus programs and VPNs, avoiding conflicts and strengthening overall protection. The service is sold on a subscription basis (monthly or yearly) to private consumers who want greater control over their browsing data. TrackOFF’s goal is to give users clear visibility into who is tracking them and reclaim control of their data by providing a simple, effective way to stop online tracking.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Consumer privacy fear keeps demand alive for tracking-blocking tools and fingerprint protection.
  • CNET and StackSocial still marketed TrackOFF in 2025, showing residual commercial demand.
  • Avast's distribution network can keep TrackOFF features visible inside broader consumer security suites.

What critics are saying

  • TrackOFF was acquired by Avast in 2019, eliminating standalone-company employer upside.
  • Current listings still look stale in 2025, signaling weak product momentum and investment.
  • Windows-and-Android-only support leaves Apple users untargeted while larger rivals dominate privacy bundles.

What makes TrackOFF unique

  • TrackOFF fingerprinted browsers directly, not just traffic, using device-identity alteration.
  • Its browser add-ons and desktop tools worked alongside antivirus without obvious conflicts.
  • Avast bought TrackOFF on May 24, 2019, validating the technology's consumer niche.
