  • Proven background in fleet management and/or fleet compliance
  • 5+ years of experience with regulations governing fleet operations
  • 3-5 years of experience in vehicle quality management is preferred
  • Experience in a start-up environment is preferred
  • Global fleet management is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment
  • Periodic travel will be required to attend meetings and support remote operations

  • While this position is primarily administrative, candidate must be able to stand for extended periods (7-10 hours) to support physical audits
Responsibilities
  • Manage an operational infrastructure that effectively monitors violations and investigates accidents and incidents while collaborating with internal departments and external agencies
  • Coordinate programs to ensure all drivers are within national, federal, state, local, and company requirements to operate company vehicles
  • Oversee and continuously refine the internal audit process to ensure compliance with Rivian's driving policy and uphold Rivian's quality standards as well as any other applicable third-party policy frameworks. This includes monitoring vehicle usage, driver behavior, vehicle repair and detailing practices, and administrative activity relative to fleet vehicles
  • Oversee the ongoing management of Rivian's International Driving Policy and driver monitoring platforms
  • Manage and continuously refine a framework of reporting that communicates quality, compliance, and audit performance
  • Create and maintain a feedback loop on initial and ongoing fleet quality with the factory
  • Maintain a framework of data in support of record keeping needs
  • Coordinate and support training to educate employees on policies and procedures, best practices, and supporting compliance tools
  • Develop effective software tools to support compliance and audit operations
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual quality and compliance processes, applications, permits, and documentation for all markets Rivian operates within globally, including state and federal agencies and programs, including CMV, DOT, FMCSA; State Autonomous Vehicle and Autonomous Vehicle Tester Programs and Advanced Driving Support Systems (ADAS)
  • Develop policies and processes to equip fleet with any equipment, signage, or other documentation to support quality management, safety practices and compliance
  • Partner with legal, finance, and accounting to investigate and deter fraud, waste, and abuse
  • Collaborate with factory, service, and parts quality to create and maintain quality best practices to ensure the fleet is representative of the brand
  • Ensures vehicles are appropriately managed per the vehicle lifecycle process
  • Tracks daily Rivian fleet location and status through physical and electronic audits and coordinates for vehicle retrieval when necessary
  • 10-20% travel is required to attend meetings and support remote operations
  • This position will oversee a team of four Fleet Auditors and collaborates cross-functionally with Executive Leaders, drivers and operational management teams
