  • JD from a top law school and member in good standing of at least one state bar
  • Minimum of 6 years of legal experience, primarily focused on investigations or regulatory enforcement, preferably including experience at a state regulatory or enforcement body
  • Experience engaging and advocating with regulators, including with mandatory reporting requirements
  • Strong aptitude for legal research, problem-solving, policy analysis, and advocacy, preferably in an evolving or new area of the law
  • Excellent verbal, written, and strategic communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively across external and internal stakeholders
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to being an exceptional team player who rolls up their sleeves
  • Desire to work hard in a fast-paced, start-up environment
Responsibilities
  • Manage investigations involving regulatory inquiries, incidents, and escalated customer complaints regarding fraud, marketing, cybersecurity, responsible gaming, geolocation, and other areas of regulatory interest
  • Own all necessary documentation, auditing, controls, metrics, and reporting related to these matters
  • Partner with the Product Advisory and Compliance & Enterprise Risk teams to enable seamless integration of all relevant regulatory obligations, transparency, and controls
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders across FanDuel’s business lines to address potential regulatory issues proactively
  • Assist with FanDuel’s engagement and relationship with regulators and Market Access Partners in states where FanDuel has launched and is actively regulated
  • Provide legal analysis and regulatory guidance to internal FanDuel team members regarding state regulatory requirements for FanDuel’s products, third-party subpoena requests, search warrants, garnishments, and liens
  • Assist with training and communications strategy for state regulatory
