OVERVIEW

Develop a software analysis tool and execution of the tool to establish critical assembly material process parameters (Solder Paste, Adhesives, Conformal Coating, Potting, etc.). This project will interface with Plexus global subject matter experts throughout to understand the critical parameters and establish the requirements for the tool.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Architect and develop software and system concepts that satisfy the customer’s requirements
Maintain and deliver controlled software releases to customers by utilizing appropriate configuration management tools
Develop and execute software design verification test plans per requirements specifications to ensure prototypes meet design requirements
Demonstrate proficiency using lab equipment and debug techniques

Developer Skills:

Rabbit MQ (Product) - Message queuing technology - AMQP
Kafka - Data streaming technology
Node-RED / Node.js OPCUA, MQTT, MODBUS (protocols)
Python, Java Script, Go, C#
Cloud Computing
Mobile app development (Android, IOS)

Agile Skillsets Desired:

Agile scrum familiarity & experience.
Project management skills - Taking on leadership responsibilities on projects, including making architectural decisions and being involved in the full development lifecycle. Agile developers take responsibility for estimating, planning and managing all tasks and report on progress.
Superior software quality - The Agile developer is also responsible for the quality of the software he/she produces. The team takes responsibility for the quality of the work they produce instead of turning over some code to a separate and independent group for testing.
Teamwork - This includes collaboration with all other team members with the aim to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts.
Understanding user needs - This is about interacting with users as necessary to clarify requirements. Over communication is stressed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering for entire duration of internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Junior level status
GPA: 3.0 or higher is preferred
