Responsibilities
  • Influence and empower students and graduates to find employment in their field of study and begin their healthcare careers.
  • Manage a population of graduates and assist them with job placement in the allied healthcare field.
  • Provide students and graduates with guidance on interview techniques, workplace expectations, resume best practices and related job-search skills.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve student and graduate employment goals.
  • Meet or exceed department metrics and quotas, including talk time, interviews, hires and the monthly goal of placed graduates.
  • Assist the Directors with advertising, recruiting extern and placement sites, marketing to the medical community and monitoring students’ progress during externships.
  • Represent CHCP positively in the community.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and student orientation.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal and accrediting rules and regulations.
  • Build positive relationships with students throughout the educational process to promote the services and availability of the career services department.
  • Provide placement services to graduates and analyze and provide feedback on graduate and employer satisfaction based on survey results.

CHCP provides career-focused education in allied health with certificate and degree programs in clinical and administrative healthcare. It operates nine Texas campuses and a nationwide online program, offering hands-on training with real medical equipment and simulations. Programs can finish in as few as nine months, supported by externships and a job-placement network of over 6,000 employer partners. Accredited by ABHES, CHCP also launched Intelligent Workforce Solutions to upskill healthcare staff for employers, aiming to prepare students for healthcare careers and help employers meet workforce needs.
