  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related Physical Science with 20+ years of experience or Masters in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related Physical Science with 18+ Years of Industry Experience or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related Physical Science with 15+ yrs of Industry Experience Preferred.
  • MBA is a PLUS!
  • 15+ years semiconductor industry experience, strong understanding of NAND flash memory products, ecosystem, roadmaps, and competitive landscape. Direct and deep engineering experience with leading-edge NAND flash memory is required. Solid technical understanding of NAND flash storage solutions, such as SSD and UFS, is required.
  • 5+ years of technology and competitive analysis.
  • A strong understanding of NAND flash memory test and manufacture process is required. Also required is the understanding of cost aspects of NAND flash memory development and manufacture.
  • Analytical and simulation-based performance, power, and feature modeling.
  • Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written, to interface with cross-functional teams within and/or outside of the organization.
  • Strong customer interaction skills, both verbal and written, as well as research institutes and firms.
  • Proven ability to work with global stakeholders in different cultures and time zones.
  • Proven track record to manage complex engineering and planning projects successfully.
Responsibilities
  • Clearly understand technology, market, and customer driven NAND flash memory requirements and translate them into concrete product definitions and specification.
  • Work with other customer facing teams and R&D teams to create a product and technology roadmap and ensure Samsung NAND flash products are made available to the market with the highest competitiveness.
  • Define novel NAND flash and storage solution definitions with features and structures that enable industry’s highest performance, lowest power, and unforeseen realization of system concepts.
  • Simultaneously work with colleagues from US and Korea offices as well as customers and industry experts, to influence decisions. Strong understanding of product/technology roadmaps.
  • You will work with other specialists within Samsung’s Device Solutions division from various departments like: product planners, NAND flash memory technologists, NAND flash memory designers, NAND flash storage solution architects, product engineers, test engineers, and sales/marketing professionals.
  • Technical interactions with customers and industry eco-system partners, including travel.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
