Requirements
  • 7+ years experience working in technology/product communications and/or public relations (either PR agency and in-house experience)
  • Experience collaborating effectively on campaigns with stakeholders across multiple teams including Marketing, Partnerships, Legal, Product, and Engineering
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills-you thrive on the details and the big picture too
  • Passion for creative storytelling, consumer behavior, emerging trends in social and influencer marketing
  • Convey a can-do, positive attitude towards tackling problems and are willing to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to get the job done
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and communicate priorities effectively
  • Ability to find/review ambassadors, influencers, and spokespeople and brief/craft messaging for them
  • Experience with media and influencer events
  • Experience working with international teams, or on global PR comms a plus
  • Experience with Cause marketing a plus
Responsibilities
  • Build comms plans for pivotal product launches, research and announcements to educate the market about MyFitnessPal
  • Identify trending topics and find new and interesting ways to trendjack the news
  • Collaborate closely with technical and product teams and be able to facilitate the building of high-impact PR campaigns and coverage
  • Help craft pitches, edit press releases, write executive speeches and talking points, and develop media material
  • Be the one nose to touch for our global PR agencies, brief them on innovations, information share between them and work internally to answer questions/gather information needed to make them successful
  • Track and measure progress to KPIs and report analytics; propose improvements and best practices
  • Manage the brand's business presence by crafting and managing LinkedIn communications
  • Share the work and coverage through internal and consumer channels
  • Partner closely with HR on internal comms, as needed
  • Work with partnership team to craft press releases about studies and partnerships that speak to a business audience
  • Manage the PR budget
