Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, or network management systems
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer and a team-oriented individual
  • Professional certification preferred (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)
  • Solid background in network administration, security and architectures
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills using your experience, and network diagnostic tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion to ensure networks are operating at peak performance levels, and fully documented. All while using change management systems to track all approved network changes while managing a secure plant network.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Network team, architects and other departments on design and deployment of functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Configure and install network firewalls, switches, WAP’s and other network devices
  • Monitor and support network performance and integrity
  • Resolve network issues by troubleshooting cloud and local network infrastructure
  • Mentor team members on technical issues within the network architecture
  • Create, oversee and test standard operating procedures related to day-to-day work, projects, and disaster recovery.
  • Communicate with users when needed
  • Maintain complete technical documentation including drawings
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
