Requirements
  • A service-focused personality is essential.
  • Luxury resort or wellness experience is essential, ideally in Hawaii.
  • Experience and education in spa services within a luxury resort setting.
  • A Hawaii Beauty Operator License and the necessary state and federal requirements to work in a spa.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • The ability to communicate thoughts, actions, and opportunities clearly, with strong networking skills.
  • The ability to lead by example, support a strong team culture, and set the scene for high performance.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of aesthetic services, including facials, manicures, pedicures, and waxing, in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Deliver a warm, professional, and personalized guest experience from consultation through service completion.
  • Conduct guest consultations to assess skin, nail, and hair-removal needs, contraindications, and preferences.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of spa services, products, and facility offerings.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, tools, and products before each service, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation.
  • Clean, disinfect, and sanitize tools, implements, equipment, and work areas before and after each service in compliance with State of Hawaii regulations and property standards.
  • Adhere to infection-control, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Review daily appointments, arrive prepared and on time for scheduled services, and document services accurately.
  • Recommend appropriate home-care products and service enhancements to support guest results and satisfaction.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and notify management of replenishment needs.
  • Maintain treatment areas and common spa spaces throughout the day.
  • Address guest feedback and complaints professionally and promptly, escalating when appropriate.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment, safety hazards, sanitation concerns, and potential emergencies to management immediately.
  • Apply hotel regulations and existing laws to protect the safety of people and property on the premises.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional spa certification is advantageous, including a Hawaii Licensed Massage Therapist license, First Aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or automated external defibrillator certification.
