Requirements
  • Master of Science or Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology, or closely related field, is required.
  • ASHA certification in Speech-Language Pathology is required for teaching certain courses and for any course that requires clinical supervision of students.
  • For such courses a Master of Arts license in the relevant practice area is required.
Responsibilities
  • Development of course materials, lectures, and laboratory experiences.
  • Administration of lectures and examinations.
  • Evaluation of student performance.
  • Part-time instructors may work under the direction of Lead Faculty for some courses.
  • Will hold office hours to meet with students as appropriate.
  • May supervise graduate students in related clinical practice in the on-campus Speech-Language and Hearing Center.
Desired Qualifications
  • Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Sciences and Disorders, or closely related field, is preferred but not required.
  • Prior college teaching experience in a higher education institution.
  • Experience with clinical supervision.
