Requirements
  • A Bac+5 university or engineering-school qualification specialized in information systems is required.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in general design and engineering within information technology is required.
  • Experience designing architectures in networks and security is required, including technical LAN/WAN/IPMPLS architectures, IT and data-center infrastructure, hybrid-cloud network and security architecture, telecommunications and networking, and traditional and innovative security solutions.
  • The candidate must be able to independently manage and pilot a diverse portfolio of subjects, including planning, deliverables, suppliers, dashboard communication, and drafting specifications.
  • Experience as a technical consultant for networks and security solutions is required.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise systems and information technology is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work cross-functionally and provide technical leadership.
  • The candidate must be able to present and defend studies or technical master plans to different management levels.
  • The candidate must be able to coach other architects or experts to help teams converge on effective technical strategies.
Responsibilities
  • Define technical reference architectures in support of programs and ahead of projects.
  • Contribute to developing the industrial policy and assess requests for deviations from the technical or product strategy.
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional technical committees to promote stakeholder consultation and alignment.
  • Lead, facilitate, and/or write technical master plans for network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, operated WAN, data-center LAN, Wi-Fi, segmentation and filtering, cloud-architecture security, DMZs, SASE models, metrology, and the evolution of network services.
  • Conduct scoping studies and market studies, particularly on innovative network and security services.
  • Propose technical strategies to the architect community and facilitate strategic decision-making at the information systems, information security, and chief technology officer levels.
  • Consolidate and/or help define reference network and security architectures and generic project engineering principles, and participate in the technical governance of network infrastructure.
  • Lead infrastructure-obsolescence management programs.
  • Monitor technology developments and share information.
