- A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related science is required.
- A New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from the New York Education Department is required.
- The candidate must meet all New York State Department of Health requirements for a Laboratory Supervisor, including four years of progressive clinical laboratory experience, or two years of experience with a Master's degree, or one year of experience with a Ph.D.
- Manage and coordinate the administrative and technical activities of the Microbiology and Anatomic Pathology laboratories.
- Oversee operations of the Microbiology and Anatomic Pathology departments, including patient testing, quality control, validations, reagent and supply inventory, regulatory compliance, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee the workflow process of the Microbiology and Anatomic Pathology departments and resolve patient or instrument issues.
- Implement New York-Presbyterian enterprise and local initiatives for the department.
- Oversee nine laboratory staff members.
- Work Monday through Friday on the day shift.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience.
