Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience navigating enterprise resource planning and material planning systems.
Responsibilities
  • Review the master production schedule regularly to identify materials that need to be procured or rescheduled to align with current requirements.
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers, obtain delivery commitments, and maintain delivery due-date and promise-date information.
  • Manage inventory levels to achieve the desired service level while minimizing the risk of excess inventory.
  • Regularly view and maintain material lead times to ensure accurate material planning.
  • Maintain enterprise resource planning system standard costs and minimize purchase price variances.
  • Review and approve Change Orders that affect assigned materials.
  • Communicate material supply issues that may impact the timely execution of the production schedule.
  • Assist organizational stakeholders in establishing best practices and purchasing policies.
