Job Title: Assistant Financial Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports To: Finance Manager – Financial Control

Location: Gillingham / Hybrid

Overview:

Reporting to the Financial Control manager, this Assistant Financial Accountant role will focus on monthly reporting, internal controls and assisting with internal and external audits.

Job Responsibilities:

Collation and processing of revenue recognition documentation on a quarterly basis.
Monthly roll forward reporting on HFM and completion of footnotes for quarterly reporting.
Completion of Quarterly SOX tests
Ensuring completion of standard close checklists, JDE code set up and monthly journal testing
Assist Financial Accountants with annual BDO audit requests
Provide back up for Treasury tasks
National Statistics surveys
Completion of month end tasks including AP debit reclasses and goods in transit adjustments.

Job Skills & Experience Required:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:

Qualifications:

AAT qualified or working towards, or on an apprenticeship scheme

Skill & Experience:

Be proficient in excel at an advanced level
Significant experience of working with large & complex data sets
