The Hornstein Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for the course OHRNS 234f Human Resource Management for Jewish Nonprofits, 2 credits, offered in the Spring 2025 semester. This course focuses on Human resource management (HRM) as it aligns people with the mission of an organization through policies and practices. This course considers general principles of HRM and their application to Jewish non-profit organizations. Topics include how to supervise and coach subordinates and peers, how to influence without authority, making skillful requests and the use of best practices and metrics in DEI work.
The class is held virtually and asynchronously and begins in early January 2025 for 8 weeks
Candidates with minimum qualifications of an MA or higher, and teaching and/or other commensurate professional field experience will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration August 5th.
This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
