Requirements
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 3+ years experience
  • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
  • Ability to generate free body diagrams for static and dynamic analysis of differential drive robots
  • Experience testing robot platforms to correlate dynamic models
  • Experience developing predictive tools with MS Excel or MATLAB for robot behavior under different loading and operating conditions
  • 4 years experience with MSWord, MS Excel
  • 1 Year experience with PowerPoint
  • 1 year experience with 3D CAD tools
Responsibilities
  • Aid in the interpretation of relevant standards for collaborative robots
  • Develop test plans for robot systems and components
  • Design test equipment as needed
  • Coordinate, schedule and oversee testing with external text houses and development partners
  • Perform physical tests on or off site (up to 20% domestic travel may be required)
  • Reduce test data, develop written test reports
  • Summarize and present findings to non-technical staff with a mixture of PowerPoint slides, video calls and in-person communication
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with MATLAB or other advanced data analysis tools
  • Experience with Simulink or other simulation tools
  • Experience developing functional requirements and evaluation against the same
  • Experience with risk analysis techniques, e.g. “What-if” or FMEA techniques
  • Team player, with a hands-on approach and collaborative attitude
