Must be proficient coding in R, including data wrangling and visualization

Must be graduating AFTER August 2023
Expertise in immunology, structural biology or machine learning
Prior experience working with wet lab biologists
Prior experience developing software in a collaborative setting

Build, evaluate, and improve statistical/bioinformatics tools to analyze DNA sequencing data
Characterize existing and new quantitative metrics summarizing properties of the TCR repertoire and critically evaluate their biological relevance in a variety clinical contexts
Visualize and present technical results to multiple different audiences clearly and succinctly
Perform quick and thorough analyses of DNA sequencing data to understand outliers, make descriptive figures, and address key statistical questions
Be a problem solver: communicate well, ask questions, and enthusiastically seek out opportunities to learn

POSITION OVERVIEW

Adaptive is seeking a thoughtful intern who is enthusiastic about statistics, genomics, immunology, and improving human health. We’re looking for someone who excels at data analysis, bioinformatics, and communicating results to diverse audiences. You will join a highly collaborative Computational Biology group that conducts analyses to support key decisions within the company and for our clients. This group applies immunosequencing analysis in partnership with collaborators across therapeutic areas to gain new insights into diseases and treatment modalities.

This position is intended for graduate students considering careers in industry. Outstanding candidates will have demonstrated the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Adaptive strongly values professional development, and we are committed to helping team members grow in their careers in industry. This is a remote position starting May/June 2023 for 12 weeks.
