Network Operations Internship - Summer 2023
Job Description:
This Network Operations Intern will be responsible for supporting our Provider Solutions - TXEX Medicaid & Medicare team.
This is a hybrid (on-site/remote), paid internship opportunity based out of our Texas offices. This internship will run for 10 weeks and will follow a full-time, 40 hours/week structure.
How you will make an impact:
Supporting Medicaid & Medicare priorities including, but not limited to:
Projects designed to improve the quality of care delivered to members.
Projects designed to increase the number of members enrolled in Amerigroup’s Medicare and Medicaid health plans.
Projects intended to identify cost savings opportunities for healthcare services.
Projects focused on identifying and implementing best practices related to provider data accuracy.
Collaborating cross-functionally with our Clinical, Legal and Compliance, Sales, and Quality teams
Supporting specialized functions and projects such as:
RFPs: The successful candidate will support the Medicaid RFP preparation for the upcoming RFPs.
Cost of Care: The successful candidate will support cost of care by leading ideation sessions and driving the implementation of new cost of care initiatives.
Quality: The successful candidate will become familiar with Medicare and Medicaid programs and support the identification and resolution of opportunities for quick wins on quality improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
Actively pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Data Analytics or other related degree at an accredited college or university
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
