Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of collegiate coaching experience, or two or more years of leadership experience as a senior club or high school coach, is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the goalkeeper position is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II rules and regulatory frameworks is required.
  • Current certification in First Aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and automated external defibrillator use is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated capability to teach, refine, and advance foundational and elite-level swimming techniques is required.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • The candidate must be flexible to travel and work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, and select holidays.
  • Proficiency in modern administrative software platforms and innovative organizational practices is required.
Responsibilities
  • Execute and uphold the University of Tampa's philosophy and institutional objectives while maintaining compliance with departmental directives, Sunshine State Conference requirements, and National Collegiate Athletic Association bylaws.
  • Build and implement periodization and planning for a specialized goalkeeper training program.
  • Drive strategic planning and operational organization of the competitive season, including practice frameworks and meet execution.
  • Advance a recruiting pipeline in compliance with University, Conference, and National Collegiate Athletic Association parameters.
  • Maintain a presence at designated practices, team functions, and athletic competitions.
  • Serve as a departmental liaison to cultivate, build, and preserve relationships with program alumni.
  • Provide mentorship and structured guidance to student-athletes across academic, disciplinary, and personal domains.
  • Champion a collaborative and dignified workplace and team culture that respects, values, and engages diverse cultures and perspectives.
