Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure new equipment is properly specified and installed, verify equipment placement using drawings, apply preventive and corrective maintenance procedures and operations and maintenance materials, determine electrical sources and connections for raised-floor equipment, build electrical cabling, label circuit breakers, and de-install obsolete equipment or systems.
  • Monitor building systems using SCADA, WebCTRL, PME, other applications, and building rounds, and take corrective action or escalate issues when systems do not meet standards.
  • Develop proficiency in team-specific applications such as WebCTRL and Wonderware, maintain those applications, and help implement improvements.
  • Follow escalation processes and act as the first responder to major equipment and system issues.
  • Take responsibility for a major data center power or cooling system, maintain its records, communicate issues and improvements, and ensure peak efficiency.
  • Participate in on-site and off-site training, identify training needs, conduct internal job-skills and safety training, oversee skill-proficiency demonstrations, and mentor team members on operational knowledge, standard and emergency procedures, tool usage, and process implementation.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors supplying and supporting electrical and mechanical systems and components, and attend major preventive maintenance and repair activities when possible.
  • Work with vendor, Central Plant, Raised Floor, and Engineering teams to resolve electrical and mechanical system issues.
  • Write methods of procedure for preventive and corrective maintenance in coordination with Engineering and Central Plant.
  • Drive improvements to existing processes and procedures with Enterprise Data Center teams, support partners, and vendors.
  • Perform assigned special project duties.
  • Work with the scheduler to organize vendor activities when necessary.
