Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Applicants must have a current DoD issued Secret Security Clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required to start or must be obtained within 60 days of the start date.
  • Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications in Java on Linux.
  • Familiarity with Java foundation classes and toolkits.
  • Knowledge of server-side/database development and computer system administration.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team.
  • Use common software development and management tools such as: Git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven, Gradle, Eclipse.
  • Understanding standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify/SonarQube mitigation.
Responsibilities
  • Software development in the Java language.
  • Performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
  • Maintaining, debugging, and configuring related software products.
  • Working from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
  • Assisting with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
  • Interfacing with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve the overall efficiency of the operating system.
  • Designing, coding, testing, and implementing tools for operations automation.
  • Command and control system application development.
  • Automated test and pipeline development experience.
  • Test-driven development.
  • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Experience with Software Integration testing, including developing automated test scripts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including reviewing performance issues, identifying root causes, and recommending and developing a solution.
  • Experience with performance modeling.
  • Experience with microservices.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and/or build management.
  • Designing and building Graphical User Interfaces.
