Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree supplemented by one to three years of substantive experience in admissions, recruitment, high school guidance, public relations, counseling, or another relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and telephone interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and some weekends.
  • Travel is required, including the ability to stay overnight for extended periods.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to rent vehicles from major car rental agencies.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, grow, and maintain an assigned recruitment territory by cultivating relationships with partners, advancing institutional goals for strategic populations, and developing enrollment pipelines.
  • Leverage and assess admissions data to plan and implement recruitment activities within the assigned recruitment territory.
  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective students, high school counselors, and transfer advisors associated with the assigned recruitment territory.
  • Represent the College at schools, churches, conventions, education fairs, community colleges, professional businesses, and other venues and events.
  • Maintain regular communication with inquiries and applicants, track weekly progress on applications, and keep applicant files up to date using the College's Customer Relationship Management program and/or student information system.
  • Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and other opportunities through one-on-one admissions counseling, in-person appointments, phone calls, text messages, and emails.
  • Review applications and other applicant materials for the purpose of making admissions decisions.
  • Coordinate and contribute to student visit programs designed to recruit targeted prospective applicants while collaborating with other campus departments and offices.
  • Assist in developing and delivering on-campus events and programs for groups and individuals, communicating information about admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and academic programs to prospective students.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual skills, especially Spanish, as well as other languages.
