Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for AMD sales teams, customers, and partners within the defined region.
  • Support all aspects of x86 embedded technical engagements needed to achieve customer account objectives.
  • Develop technical relationships and win new designs and opportunities through pre-sales activities.
  • Defend and support existing wins through post-sales activities.
  • Provide customer feedback to internal engineering and technical teams.
  • Support the sales process by working with account leaders, internal engineering, and business units to enable new customer solutions based on AMD x86 technology.
  • Lead technical discussions and resolve technical issues for platforms based on AMD embedded products from design through mass production.
  • Assist with hardware-platform development and debugging.
  • Perform performance and benchmarking analysis for customer opportunities.
  • Debug and optimize customer designs for AMD processor architecture.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations for hardware and software platform-performance improvement.
  • Deliver technical training to customers or AMD sales teams.
  • Evaluate and research competitive platforms, applications, and technologies.
  • Present AMD roadmaps and technology internally and externally.
  • Support conferences and regional events through presentations, hardware demonstrations, and customer meetings.
  • Perform other duties required to support the sales team and customer base.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of system design, x86 processor technology, hardware design, benchmarks, embedded systems and applications, graphics, or advanced PC technology.
  • Knowledge of Ryzen and EPYC products.
  • Subject-matter expertise in the embedded software ecosystem, system architecture, APU technology, embedded system design, ROCm, or other AI flows.
  • Experience in networking, storage, test and measurement, industrial, edge/telco, or automotive domains.

AMD expands Saudi AI platform with Cisco and HUMAIN, plans 250 MW deployment by 2027

AMD has launched an AI infrastructure platform in Saudi Arabia in partnership with Cisco Systems and HUMAIN. The platform uses AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs, with Cisco providing networking infrastructure including its Silicon One technology and 800G optics. HUMAIN will offer GPU-as-a-service for AI model training and inference workloads. The partners plan to deploy up to 250 MW of additional AI infrastructure from 2027, using AMD's upcoming Instinct MI400 Series GPUs. The expansion forms part of a joint venture targeting 1 GW of AI infrastructure deployment by 2030. The platform focuses on sovereign AI infrastructure, allowing customers greater control over data location and model customisation. AMD shares hit $628 price target with 35% upside as data centre revenue doubles to $6.72B

Advanced Micro Devices has set a data centre revenue record, with the segment more than doubling year-over-year to $6.72 billion in Q2. The chipmaker guided Q3 revenue to approximately $13 billion, representing roughly 41% annual growth. CEO Lisa Su projects the AI accelerator market will grow over 45% annually to reach $1.4 trillion by 2030. AMD's Helios rack-scale platform delivers up to 15% more throughput at the same power consumption compared to competitors. Anthropic has committed to 2 gigawatts of MI450 deployments, whilst Meta signed for 6 gigawatts. CFO Jean Hu indicated earnings per share will exceed $20, surpassing previous long-term targets. AMD raises $1B in bonds to fund 3nm and 2nm chip development and edge AI growth

Following the announcement, AMD shares experienced modest declines in pre-market trading on 28 August, part of a broader profit-taking trend among chipmakers outside the AI boom. The bond proceeds will also fund development of edge computing and AI applications, positioning AMD for next-generation technology adoption across artificial intelligence, IoT, and 5G infrastructure markets.
