THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing, and our Facilities team is growing with it. As a member of the Facilities Department, you will be part of the team responsible for maintaining the aspirational look and feel of our world-class spaces. As the Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for both proactive maintenance to optimize performance and safety, and reactive repairs & replacements to respond to breakage, wear, and system issues to ensure functionality within our retail & office spaces in the New York market. THE ROLE

As the Facilities Technician, New York you will:

• Perform both specialized and emergency cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness, address damage, and ensure optimal functionality using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure consistent operations and resolve issues efficiently.
• Coordinate proactive and reactive maintenance, including repairs, replacements, placement, and relocation of FF&E, ensuring all items are functional and meet operational needs.
• Proactively maintain and restore finishes, including millwork touch-ups, paint and drywall repairs, refinishing, oiling, and stone care, to uphold store standards and design.
• Perform proactive and reactive maintenance for exterior services, such as graffiti removal, pressure washing, snow removal, and hardware adjustments and repairs, ensuring safety and functionality.
• Maintain and repair tools and equipment, organize inventory, and identify opportunities for upgrades or replacements to enhance operational efficiency and support upkeep.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Facilities Technician, New York, has:

• Proven skills, education, and/or applicable certifications in any of the following would be beneficial:
  • Finish Carpentry
  • Plumbing
  • Painting
  • HVAC
  • Electrical
• Ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions quickly
• Ability to pro-actively notice and address small issues before they become larger problems
• Ability to communicate effectively with direct manager, retail management teams, and vendors
• Understanding of and proficiency in using mechanical tools and machinery used in maintenance and repair tasks
• Physically able to complete tasks that involve lifting and comfortable using a ladder 
• A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia’s Values and Business and People Leadership principles 

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $50,000 – $100,000 US per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
