Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved and accredited A.R.R.T. program.
  • Graduate of an approved and accredited nuclear medicine program
  • 3-5 years of experience in NM preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment and current dynamic health care climate.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan, design, implement and evaluate one’s own work and to work independently with minimal observation or supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to work collaboratively with multiple coworkers of diverse cultures, educational backgrounds, and experience.
  • Ability to build partnerships with physicians and others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public.
  • Ability to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when minimal to no directions are given.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands/deadlines.
  • Emotional maturity and ability to function effectively under stress.
  • Ability to follow instructions and document care given.
  • Ability to plan and organize.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or NMTCB certified
  • CPR certification required.
  • Licensed by the SCRQSA
Responsibilities
  • Performs all NM procedures in accordance with ACR, ARRT, state regulations, and departmental policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment and radiopharmaceuticals for the above mentioned examinations.
  • Exhibits expertise in patient care based on needs appropriate for all patient demographics.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.
