Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Physical sciences or relevant discipline, advanced degrees preferred (MSc, PharmD, MBA)
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical research, development, medical affairs or commercialization
  • Highly organized and motivated individual with the ability to work independently/effectively with cross functional teams
  • Solid understanding of Medical Affairs organization
  • Experience in project/program management of complex projects involving cross-functional, multi-site, international teams
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to engage in complex scientific discussions to develop/summarize clear follow-up/action plans and execute
  • Strong experience with building relationships, leading strategic initiatives and programs, and collaborating across divisions with people of diverse business backgrounds and cultures
  • Comfort with ambiguity, driving change and innovation across the team
  • Travel: <10% travel
Responsibilities
  • Lead planning and execution of the Early AIMS team operations, including effective meeting management, project management, and budget oversight for the TA area of responsibility
  • Supervise and support working groups (where applicable) with deliverables and other requirements, to ensure they remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under budget and develop as planned
  • Develops detailed project timelines ensuring cross-functional and third-party input is captured and projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Navigate the intricate dynamics of multiple assets and indications, ensuring projects are completed successfully and on time
  • Oversees projects, ensuring compliance, alignment with the organization's strategic goals, and consistency across various initiatives
  • Ensure organized and up-to-date records for easy access and retrieval. Store and maintain SharePoint (SP) sites and other relevant documentation
  • Support Department initiatives: Medical planning, Newsletter, Lunch and Learn, Dept meetings, Offsites
  • Partner with finance PM including budget, forecasting, performance against targets, facilitate key budget discussions in partnership with the MPL
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including Development Teams, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Commercial and Medical team members, to influence strategic alignment on key Medical objectives
  • Distribution List Management (adding/removing members, setting permissions)
  • Vendor Management, new vendor setup and onboarding on Ariba. Create and manage project briefs for external consultant engagement
  • Coordination with the Congress Management team and EMCoE
  • Adapt to flexible working conditions and support remote and in-office activities. Address ad hoc requests as they arise, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions
  • Perform other regular activities to support team operations and objectives

Bristol Myers Squibb, the fourth-largest company in New Jersey by market cap, announced Tuesday the appointment of Cari Gallman as executive vice president, general counsel and chief policy officer, effective immediately. She succeeds Sandra (Sandy) Leung, who is retiring after a 33-year career at the company.Gallman has extensive experience in pharmaceutical law and compliance. She will lead the law department, which includes intellectual property, commercial and regulatory law, litigation, securities and corporate governance, transactions, corporate security and compliance and ethics, as well as global and U.S. policy and government affairs. Gallman has held leadership positions at Bristol Myers Squibb for 10 years, most recently serving as executive vice president, corporate affairs.“I am committed to continuing to build on the company’s culture of integrity and shape a dynamic policy environment that protects innovation and patients,” said Gallman in a statement.Gallman began her legal career in private practice representing pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in civil, regulatory, and government enforcement matters.She earned a bachelor’s degree in political theory from Princeton University, magna cum laude, and holds a juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School
