Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of a forward-looking application strategy supporting digital transformation, operational scalability, and banking excellence.
  • Streamline redundant systems after acquisitions to create an efficient and supportable application landscape.
  • Implement standardized integration patterns for data, application programming interfaces, and workflows across banking systems and corporate platforms.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and enhancement of enterprise applications for evolving banking, business, operational, and administrative needs.
  • Establish agile delivery frameworks, portfolio management, and execution discipline to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Establish, lead, and operate the data and analytics function, building trust and managing data, evolving technology capabilities, and developing talent and a data and analytics culture.
  • Oversee the Fiserv banking core system and other critical financial platform implementations, with accountability for success metrics.
  • Define key performance indicators and service-level agreements for uptime, performance, incident management, and delivery throughput.
  • Drive continuous improvement through metrics-based management.
  • Partner with operations and business unit leaders to evaluate technology environments, plan system transitions, and integrate systems into the enterprise platform ecosystem.
  • Direct the full lifecycle of enterprise applications from implementation through operations, optimization, and retirement.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure user adoption, measurable return on investment, and alignment with financial and business priorities.
  • Drive migration of business applications to Azure or similar cloud environments to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee implementation of next-generation digital and banking services, ensuring configurability, reusability, architecture-standard compliance, and adherence to delivery best practices.
  • Own and manage the roadmap for all business applications.
  • Manage technology vendors and integration partners to deliver on business commitments.
  • Collaborate with enterprise business teams to ensure seamless data flow between business systems and centralized data lake environments.
  • Maintain governance frameworks for application usage, access control, and data integrity, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory standards and internal cybersecurity and privacy policies.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing, business-focused application delivery organization combining internal and partner talent.
  • Define the data, analytics, and artificial intelligence strategy, including its vision, drivers, and outcomes, and lead its creation and ongoing relevance with business domain leaders, the Chief Information Officer, and other stakeholders.
  • Institute an operating model for data, analytics, and artificial intelligence covering the ecosystem, architecture, and delivery model.
  • Build partnerships with executive leadership and board members to manage data as a business asset, make data artificial-intelligence-ready, and measure value derived from data assets.
  • Communicate the business value generated from data, analytics, and artificial intelligence initiatives to stakeholders and executives.
  • Maintain authority and accountability for data assets, analytics used for decision-making, and artificial intelligence solutions that automate decisions and augment human performance.
  • Create and oversee a centralized data management and data engineering service for sharing certified data products with quality, traceability, timeliness, usability, and cost-effectiveness.
