Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience practicing law in a law firm, corporate, or government environment
  • Experience with government contracts law, including FAR, DFARS, federal procurement statutes and regulations, and bid protest jurisprudence
  • Experience leading or assisting with prime contract and subcontract negotiations, pre-award support such as RFP reviews, and post-award counseling, including debriefings and protest assessments
  • Experience partnering closely with business leaders to develop comprehensive solutions to problems
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate risks and root causes and aiding in designing and implementing practical mitigation strategies or action plans
  • Ability to listen actively and ensure that the right questions are being asked and answered
  • Ability to translate legalese or regulations into succinct, clear, and workable business solutions
  • Ability to execute against clear goals, priorities, and success metrics or KPIs and manage against program plans
  • LL. B or J.D. degree
  • Active bar admission in any state or the District of Columbia
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a government contracts attorney providing support and leveraging experience with federal procurement transactions and compliance
  • Support one of the Sectors by working on a wide range of complex transactional issues at the prime and subcontract levels
  • Provide risk reviews and insights to senior attorneys within the Sector
  • Anticipate business needs and develop practical solutions with agility and action
  • Establish trusted partnerships across the firm and collaborate with fellow members of the Legal, Ethics, and Compliance team to protect and advance the company while navigating complex legal and compliance risks
