Requirements
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience (law firm or in-house legal department).
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules (state and federal).
  • Proficiency with legal software and tools (e.g., eDiscovery platforms, Westlaw/Lexis, Relativity, CaseMap, Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player.
Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence.
  • Conduct factual and legal research; summarize findings for attorney review.
  • Manage and organize case files, including electronic and physical documents.
  • Coordinate and assist with the collection, review, and production of discovery materials.
  • Perform cite-checking and proofreading of legal documents.
  • Assist in preparing exhibits, witness files, and trial binders.
  • File documents with state and federal courts (electronic and in-person as needed).
  • Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders.
  • Maintain contact with clients, experts, and witnesses to facilitate case development.
