- Master's degree in systems engineering, computer science, robotics, or related technical field
- 7+ years technical design experience for robotic, automotive, or aerospace systems
- Broad understanding of engineering fundamentals and design of software heavy systems
- Direct experience authoring requirements for a system or complex software application
- Open to occasional travel to partner or customer facilities
- Collaborate with product managers to understand the customer and business needs for mission control tools
- Define requirements to guide the development of mission control tools for autonomous trucks, covering topics such as mission management, remote assistance, and roadside interaction
- Collect feedback from implementation, testing, and verification activities, driving improvements to the specification
- Determine how mission control components shall interact with each other and the self-driving truck to produce the desired operational features and capabilities of the product
- Work with subject matter experts to evaluate tradeoffs through the design process
- Employ model-based design practices to specify the behavior of the system
- Build physical, logical, and behavioral architecture models, capturing different views of the system under development
- Collaborate with all areas of the system, software, and hardware development for autonomous trucks sharing experience, driving progress of the project using a systems engineering viewpoint
- Mentor other team members, growing the overall systems engineering expertise of the team
