Branch announces new Flex model to simplify earned wage access integration.

Branch announces new Flex model to simplify earned wage access integration. Branch announced on July 14 the launch of its new Flex model for earned wage access, offering companies and platforms a faster and easier way to embed this feature into workplace applications. The company said the new configuration allows businesses to integrate earned wage access in weeks instead of months, removing much of the traditional engineering work required. According to Branch, the Flex model enables employers to offer workers access to their earned wages through existing debit cards via Branch Direct or through the Branch App. The company said this flexibility is designed to meet growing demand from both employers and employees for timely pay options. Atif Siddiqi, founder and CEO of Branch, said, "Earned wage access has moved from a nice-to-have to a baseline expectation for today's workforce, and the question we hear from customers is no longer whether to offer it but how. Embedding earned wage access into the workplace apps workers open every day can drive engagement, adoption, and ongoing usage. These new configurations make that embedded experience far simpler to launch, so companies can turn earned wage access into a key value-add that differentiates and enhances their platform, while giving workers a compelling benefit they can rely on." The company outlined that with either Core or Flex models, workers have multiple options for receiving pay: instant transfers for a small fee or two-day delivery at no cost via an existing debit card; Core users may also receive instant transfers at no cost through the Branch App. All configurations provide workers with clear earnings visibility and fee-free options. Branch stated its infrastructure supports not only EWA but also other payout solutions such as paycard and direct deposit for W-2 employees - including unbanked or underbanked individuals - cashless tips and mileage reimbursement, 1099 contractor payouts, W-2 employee payments, and embedded finance services. The company emphasized its role in helping businesses streamline operational workflows related to worker payments by integrating financial technology into existing systems across industries like hospitality, staffing marketplaces, vertical SaaS platforms, workforce management systems, and more.
