Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in the automotive industry
- Advanced (technical) experience and know-how in the area of high-voltage energy systems, thermal management systems, infotainment and user-interface systems and product management
- Proven track record of bringing automotive projects from concept phase to series production
- Prior leadership experience with proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to success and performance
- Excellent strategic thinking
- Proven (technical) problem solving skills
- Excellent knowledge and proven track record of optimizing the target setting between product content, timing, quality and cost
- Excellent, criteria-based decision making skills
- Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written
- Excellent integration skills - bringing people and the team together, steering processes and systems to achieve the overall entrepreneurial optimum, cooperatively solving target conflicts and finding solutions supported by all sides
- Excellent steering and negotiation skills
- Proven success in managing product budgets & multi-million dollar business cases
- Resource management and employee development skills
- German language skills valuable
Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional responsibility for all Scout product related activities on main system level for the Energy and Thermal Management System as well as the Infotainment, User-Interface and Data Management (IID) System, e.g. HV battery, thermal management system, displays, user interface of switches and touch screens
- Hold and manage the overarching business ownership for the Energy System and IID System for all Scout products (product content, timing, quality, costs, investments)
- Report to the VP Scout Products on all Energy System and IID System related topics
- Cross-departmental, functional leadership for the Energy System and IID System across all product related areas (e.g. engineering, purchasing, finance, quality, production, marketing)
- Manage decisions in order to meet the product timeline, quality goals, product requirements and financial target
- Be responsible for setting, managing and achieving the overarching target setting for the Energy System and IID System as well as setting and managing the validation definitions and execution
- Be responsible for managing internal and external partners in terms of responsibilities, timing, budget, quality and target achievement
- Be responsible for steering the product maturity and achieving milestone deliverables on the main system level
- Consolidate and identify all trade-offs and negotiate measures to resolve target conflicts across all departments
- Manage, consolidate and mitigate all product related project risks on the main system level
- Responsible for managing the transfer of strategic directions from the Whole Vehicle to Main System Level
- Lead and manage the cross-functional decision committees and working groups for the Energy System and IID System
