- Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Certification and Licensing: Active FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License
- Experience: Minimum 3 year of relevant experience

Responsibilities
- Procures, receives, and administers the inventory of controlled pharmaceuticals, and communicates shortages of medications or changes in stock availability to appropriate pharmacy staff.
- Alerts leadership of changes in buying trends, including any unusual use of drugs.
- Purchases all pharmaceuticals for the assigned pharmacies and participates in continuous quality improvement.
- Receives and verifies shipments from vendors and suppliers.
- Keeps abreast of contract changes and prepares vendor shipment returns.
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels of drugs and supplies and controls inventory to meet established budgetary constraints.
- Coordinates disposal of all expired medication and maintains invoicing for all drug and supply accounts.
- Prepares department for annual inventory which includes updating shelf labels, inventory supply forms, and databases.
- Carries out rules and regulations pertaining to the professional policies of the department and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
