Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to create a patient-centered environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing center policies and procedures, the Minimum Data Set process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • A Master of Science in Nursing degree is required.
  • At least five years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience, including at least two years of nursing supervision experience in a long-term care setting, is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support/ cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification must be maintained.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the clinical aspects of the organization.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and administration of day-to-day operations associated with direct patient care activities, nursing practice, and clinical education and development.
  • Continuously improve nursing services and staff capabilities to meet the needs and expectations of patients, residents, and their families.
  • Drive, support, and model a service-oriented culture focused on top-of-license practice, interprofessional collaboration, employee engagement, quality, patient safety, service excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the overall patient/resident experience.
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator and nursing center leadership team on strategic planning, budget preparation, and effective oversight of resource utilization.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care services consistent with evidence-based practices, policies, regulatory and legal requirements, and organizational philosophies.
