This is a fully remote opportunity, but candidate can work out of the office in Winchester if they would like to

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Design Assistant will create component design reports based on company standards for estimation and production using design and management software. The Design Assistant will also assist in scheduling projects and updates. The Design Assistant will work alongside the construction, estimating and architectural departments as required to effectively and efficiently complete tasks.

Position Summary:

Essential Responsibilities

• Aid designers by producing layouts and production files using design software and Adobe PDF
• Adhere to department standards to provide quality information
• Schedule, track, and post information for projects through project management software
• Receive education in construction and design software.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Competencies

• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both orally and in writing
• Basic Understanding of Windows filing system
• Ability to read and interpret written information
• Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions
• Ability to utilize MS Office Applications; Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel

Other Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Education/Credentials: High school diploma or its equivalent preferred
• Training: Component Design Basics & Mitek Software Suite 
• Experience: 1+ year in Business, Computer Science, or data-driven field

Working Conditions:

• Physical Demand of Job: Requires vision, speech, and hearing
• Environmental Factors: Normal administrative environment, Construction site and manufacturing facility exposure
• Hours of Work: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday

• Base Salary: $21.00-$30.00 per hour (Pay is commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills)
